Abstract

The study examined the influence of entrepreneurship skills and financial management skills on sustainability of small and medium enterprise. Business education graduates in North eastern Nigeria were selected as respondents. To achieve the study’s objectives, two hypotheses were formulated. A survey research design was adopted where 100 business education graduates were selected as sample of the study. The data was collected using questionnaire. The data collected was statistically analyzed using multiple regressions analysis. The results revealed that entrepreneurship skills and financial management skills have a positive and significant influence on sustainability of SMEs among business education graduates. Specifically, the findings of the
present study suggest that the continual rise in unemployment rate especially among graduates business education in North eastern Nigeria can be addressed by equipping business education graduates with adequate entrepreneurship and financial management skills for establishing and sustaining of small and medium businesses.
